It's really annoying and I hope I can finally find a way to deal with the problem here. (HKLM–>Software–>Microsoft–>Windows NT–>CurrentVersion–>Fontlink–>SystemLink) but had no luck. To modify fontlink in the registry to prioritize the Chinese fonts over the Japanese fonts I searched the Internet and someone suggested it might be a problem of incorrect font mapping, that is, the system first searched the characters in Japanese fonts, if not found, then it would search in Chinese fonts.
So far, I tried Control Panel\Clock, Language, and Region\Language\Advanced settings\Apply language settings to the welcome screen, system accounts, and new user accounts\Change system locale Any fonts associated with that language will be downloaded, and your text should display correctly.
